Along with the many historic attractions in Pittsburghl; Kennywood, The Pittsburgh Zoo, The Pirates and the museums; there are also tons of outdoor events happening all around the city!
From out of town? Check out local events on Facebook or just Google what's happening and you will find outdoor markets in numerous locations featuring local artists such as ourselves. We are members of the I Made It! Pittsburgh Nomad Indie Artisans group. The group will be featured on weekends near the Wholey's Fish Market in The Strip District throughout the summer. There are also pop up markets and the Squirrel Hill Nights Out. In two weeks, July 17th from 2:00 until 10:00 PM you will find 30 artisans from the group participating at the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Banks Feed More Festival rocking out with the musical lineup and raising money for the local food banks. A portion of all sales through the I Made It! Market group will benefit local food banks. By purchasing from one of these artisans you ae helping those who are hungry as well as those in the local art community to continue to do what it is we love doing! Supporting the local arts has been a fundamental ingredient in the rise of Pittsburgh from the ashes of the mills to the beautiful city it is today. Please come, visit buy and be a part of what is happening still in Pittsburgh! Here are some links to a few of the local outdoor events you may enjoy! Two huge shows in one month! Lauren and I could not be more grateful for the acceptance we have received. It has been a long road with many hours spent bent over box after box of beads and stones and we absolutely love every single minute of it! However; not nearly as much as the time we spend meeting the people at the shows that we attend. YOU are the reason we are able to continue to do what we do and for that we humbly thank each and every one of you! You give us a purpose for the dreams that we dream, it's a good life!
If you are in the area join us at one of our next events, stop in and say hi, shop or just look, we want to know who you are! We are very honored to have been selected to participate in this years Arts On the Riverwalk in New Castle , PA! Fire works and the arts, sounds like an epic celebration! Hope to see you there!
Harmonia's Jewelry Box will be joining up with the I Made It! Market group again for our next event. Once that date has been confirmed we will make the announcement! We are very excited to be part of the Artisan's Market at Wholey's Fish Market in The Strip District, Pittsburgh PA. These events run Friday through Sunday, lots of time to meet more new friends! We can't wait! We will be working on some new designs in the mean time and putting a few sneak peak pictures up here on the web site! We are hoping to attend the Sewickley Harvest Festival on September 10th as our first Fall festival. More details on this as they become available.
We are confirmed for Unique Boutique also held in Sewickley, Saturday , November 12. This event is always held at the Edgeworth Club, Sewickley, PA We are very excited to be involved with this group for the first time ! Keep watching for more appearances, we are hoping to have some really big news for the holidays!! ,Lauren and I want to give a huge shout out to all the great people that we met this past weekend at Garrison Day in Beaver, PA!
We each love doing festivals. Talking to the people who wear our jewelry is such a joy to us both. We also learn things from talking to you guys. From now on Mr. New England, there will be a "spouse chair" at all out venues as well as an extra bottle of water or two. I have to apologize profusely for not recognizing the strain of walking quietly behind your wife while she is shopping and carrying all the packages and the credit card. I will not forget this valuable lesson. You brought a smile to both mine and my daughter's faces, thank you! To the husband that has decided that he is becoming a gypsy, you are going to rock the look! Being Bohemian / gypsy means following your own path and finding joy in the moment. Remember, "All those who wander are not lost." I wish you and your wife great joy and peace. To my neighbor, a fellow gypsy, it was so wonderful to meet a like soul that lives so close by! Your joy of life is contagious and we are grateful you shared that with us! Joy and peace to all those we met this past weekend, thank you for your presence in our lives. Namaste, Cindy and Lauren Please join us this weekend and support a great cause! Harmonia's Jewelry Box is honored to have been asked to participate if this years event. A percentage of the sales will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Come join us and help raise money for a worthy cause, can't wait to see you there! Here is a sneak peak at some of what you will find. This event will find HJB as stocked with inventory as you will probably find us with more upcoming shows so come early and shop long and hard while the choices are still endless!
